Recommended Elevation Settings - Admin Portal (KB-AP024)
Elevation settings are one of the key items you need to address when configuring your data. In order to optimize vSite' AR visuals for your end users, you will need to know if your data is z-enabled.
Once you know if your data contains elevation values, follow the instructions below depending on whether your data is Z-enabled or not:

Under Data source -> Root* (Fig.1) |
Under Data source -> Object layer (Fig.2) |

Elevation type |
Vertical datum** |
Default depth/elevation*** |
Depth/elevation field**** |
Default |
Select appropriate vertical datum from the drop down menu. |
Set value to no depth (or height) if no values are available, or 0 if assets should remain at ground level. |
Choose depth attribute if available. |
*If a 'child' node is missing the configuration, the value will be inherited from the Root layer.
**Use EGM2008 as vertical datum for global Scene Services and Bentley iTwin files.
***Use negative vales for subsurface objects and positive values for objects above the surface.
****Tick check box to switch between positive and negative values.
