Configuration Glossary: Default Depth/ Elevation (KB-CG008)

This setting allows you to set a default depth or altitude to an object layer. Zero is considered to be ground level, with positive numbers being above ground (altitude), and negative numbers being underground (depth).

The default depth/elevation value is zero (the ground level).
