Data Collection for Admins: Initial Setup (KB-AP068)

Data Collection is a powerful tool to give vSite AR users the ability to create 3D elements directly in the AR space, creating a new asset that can be read by other users in vSite AR and vSite Web. 

Before you begin: It is very important to remember Data Collection must be enabled in the team/ project screen for either Shapefiles, arcGIS Feature Services, or KML files. One of these files must be successfully processed and assigned to the respected Team/Project.

After the applicable datasource is uploaded, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the preferred Team/ Project that will be using Data Collection.
2. In the Data tab, find your previously uploaded datasource
3. Confirm the datasource is assigned to the Team/Project
4. Under the Data Collection column, click the default X. It will change to a checkmark when it is enabled. 
5. Confirm the level of access the users of this team/project will have (ability to Add, Edit, and/or Delete assets)
6. Click Save to complete the setup
