Service Access Integration with ArcGIS (KB-TT016)
Service Access is a Security option chosen during the upload process for an ArcGIS Feature or Scene Service link. This is the preferred and most secure integration method, as it eliminates the need to enter or store credentials within vSite.
Step 1: Connect to a New or Existing ArcGIS Group
When creating a new Group, or adjusting an existing group settings, navigate to Group Membership and under "Who can be in this group?" check off, "Any organization's members". This will grant access to the email used in vGIS Service Access. To conclude this step, add the desired datasources to that Group. If you are connecting to an existing Group, make sure your preferred datasources are already assigned to it.
Step 2: Search for vGIS' ArcGIS Membership
Navigate to your main Group and click Invite Members. Make sure the "Search all ArcGIS Online organization members" switch is turned on and search "info@meem.com". Check off the correct user and Invite.
Next Steps in the Admin Portal
Once the Group invitation is accepted from a member of the vGIS Team, admins can now connect to their datasources (this will only be needed once). With this setup completed, admins can now select Service Access in the Security field when uploading an ArcGIS datasource.
