Setting Up an Account

New accounts can only be created by an existing company administrator or by contacting vGIS Support (support@vGIS.io). Company administrators and vGIS support will only require your full name and a valid email address to add you to the system. Click Here to learn more.

Managing Your Profile

Your account profile name and password can be updated at any time from the Profile section.

To access the profile section, select Profile from the sidebar located on the left side of the screen. The Profile section allows you to change your name, language preferences and password.

To change your profile name, make the necessary alterations in the First name” and Last name fields, and then click Update. Once the changes have been applied, you will receive a message in the portal window stating that your profile has been updated.  

Please note: Both First and Last Name are mandatory fields. You will not be able to update your profile name without filling these in.

To change your account password, enter your current password in the Old password field, and then enter your new password in the New password field. Press the Change password button. You will receive a message in the portal window, stating that your password has been updated once the changes have been applied. Important: Your password must be at least 6 characters long.

Portal Navigation

There are four sections of the portal that you will need to navigate on a regular basis. They are the Reports, Sidebar, Header, and Portal Window (Fig. 3).

Reports (1): The reports section, located in the top portion of the left sidebar, are read-only items that give important information about your company’s vGIS system. Selecting one of these items will take you to their respective portal page.

Administration (2): The Administration section, located below the reports section on the left sidebar, contains a list of admin configurable items. Selecting one of these items will take you to their respective landing page.

Help & Profile (3): In this section, you can find all the relevant information about the vGIS portal, including video tutorials and help articles. In the profile menu, you will be able to edit your user information and password.

Search Bar (4): The search bar located at the top of the page allows you to search for specific items within the site you are currently on.
