The following instructions detail the process for activating a new device. Before proceeding, the vGIS Utilities application must be installed on the mobile device or HoloLens that is to be activated.
A new account can only be created by obtaining an activation code from either a company administrator, or from support@vGIS.io.
The activation email contains a single activation code that can only be applied to a single mobile device (or HoloLens). If the mobile device activation hyperlink is accidentally pressed from the wrong device, a company administrator will need to send a new activation email.
To activate a mobile device, click the hyperlink provided in the body of the activation email (Fig. 1). This will automatically open the vGIS Utilities mobile application and give your device access.
To activate a HoloLens, launch the vGIS Utilities application and scan the QR code found in the body of the activation email.Note 1: The activation code will expire after 24 hours. If the code is expired, a company administrator will need to send a new activation email.
