WMS

Service Requirements

  • Service must be public or protected with Basic Authentication
  • Service should support the image/jpeg or image/png formats
  • Layer must support CRS EPSG:3857

Configuration

Element Configuration details
Name Map label displayed on the device and in the Admin Portal
Map Type WMS
Base URL

WMS service URL

Common format - %SERVICE DOMAIN%/wmsserver? with the trailing ?

URL can be found in the DCPType/HTTP/Get/OnlineResource[xlink:href] path of the GetCapabilities request node
Layers

Content Name node of layer; if multiple layer names are filled (comma-separated), WMS service will return image with multiple layers
Version

Version of the WMS service; WMS service version can found in the "Version" attribute of WMS_Capabilities node
Image format

Required image format; the list of supported formats is found in the "GetMap" request node
Styles

Content of the "Style/Name" node of layer (optional; comma-separated for multiple styles)

 

WMTS

Service Requirements

  • Service must be public or protected with Basic Authentication
  • Layer should support the image/jpeg or image/png formats
  • Layer must contain valid ResourceURL of type tile for the specified format
  • TileMatrixSet must support CRS EPSG:3857
  • TileMatrixSet must have the same layout as urn:ogc:def:wkss:OGC:1.0:GoogleMapsCompatible (as defined by the OGC 07-057r7 Annex E.4 specification)

Configuration

Element Configuration details
Name Map label displayed on the device and in the Admin Portal
Map Type WMTS
Capabilities URL Full URL for capabilities requests
Tile Resource URL Template attribute of ResourceURL of type tile for selected format
Tile Matrix Set Identifier of TileMatrixSet to use.
Image format Desired image format. Should match the selected ResourceURL
Style Style to use, optional, if not filled it would be default
