Hint - Setting The Vertical Datum (KB-HN006)
Elevation settings are key to configuring your data, these will be the base of where your objects are placed in the digital space. This can either be embedded within your data, or enabled through the vSite Admin Portal. Incorrect elevation settings can result in your visuals looking oddly scaled or missing in the vGIS app.
If your data is z-enabled, you will need to assign a "Vertical datum" from the labelled configuration field. The vertical datum should match the datum used in your data set. Otherwise, objects in AR may appear too high or too low.
The vertical datum for the following data formats should be assigned at the root level:
- WFS
- Shapefiles
- Bentley iTwin (Vector)
- DWG (Vector)
- KML (Vector)
- Esri Feature/Map Service
- Esri Scene Service
The vertical datum for the following data formats should be assigned at the model level:
- IFC
- Autodesk Build (formerly BIM360)
- Bentley iTwin (3D Objects)
- DWG (3D Objects)
- KML (3D Objects)
