vSite Admin Portal: Sheet Measurements
In vSite, users can collect measurements directly from sheets in the Admin Portal. To take measurements, you must first calibrate the tool using the sheet's scale bar.
Calibration
While viewing the sheet, click Calibrate at the top right of the page (Fig. 1).
To calibrate the measurement tool, click on both ends of your scale bar. This will create a red line between the two points and a popup will appear where you can fill in the corresponding distance and unit of measurement (Fig. 2). Once this is completed, click the blue checkmark to finalize calibration.
Calibration will save between sessions and between sheet versions, so once you have calibrated a sheet the first time, you won't have to recalibrate it in future sessions.
Taking Measurements
Measurements will show up on top of your sheet with a callout displaying measurement information. For lines, this callout shows length, and for areas, the callout shows area and perimeter (Fig. 3). By clicking the X beside the callout, the measurement will be deleted. Below are explanations of the additional features that can be utilized in measurement mode.

- This callout allows you to make universal changes to existing measurements. The Delete icon will delete all measurements. Measurements will also be deleted when you exit the sheet. The Eye icon will toggle visibility of measurements on and off.
- This line shows the unit of measure, as well as a blue arrow icon that can be clicked to Recalibrate.
- Dynamic scale bar that changes as you zoom in or out.
- Compare versions can also be opened while taking measurements. This allows users to measure distances between features in past and present versions of the same sheet.
