vSite Admin Portal: Initial Data Collection Setup
Overview
The Data Collection tool enables vSite AR users to create 3D elements directly within the AR environment. These new assets are immediately available to other users in both vSite AR and vSite Web, supporting collaborative field-to-office workflows.
Before configuration, ensure that Data Collection is enabled in the Team/Project settings and that a compatible datasource has been uploaded and assigned. Supported formats include:
Shapefiles
ArcGIS Feature Services
KML files
At least one of these datasource types must be successfully processed and linked to the appropriate Team/Project before Data Collection can be activated.
How To Enable Data Collection for a Team/Project
Navigate to the Team/Project that will be using Data Collection.
Open the Data Collection tab (Fig. 1).
-
Click the Configuration button at the top right of the page.
