vSite Scan: Previewing Scans
The vSite Scan app allows users to preview, visualize, and edit scans directly on their device.
Accessing a Scan Preview
The preview for a scan can be accessed in two main ways:
- After scan completion: Once a scan is finished, its preview opens automatically.
- From the scans list: Tap a scan in the scans list to open its preview.
Visualization Features
In the preview, scans can be viewed in 3D. Use the following gestures:
- Rotate: Drag with one finger to rotate the model
- Pan: Drag with two fingers to pan model view
- Zoom: Pinch with two fingers to zoom in or out
- Set Focal Point: Double tap the scan to center on that point
Scan Options
The Scan Options menu provides tools and settings for working with your scan.
To open it, tap the three dots in the bottom-right corner (Fig. 1).
Available options:
- Process: Process the selected scan.
- Export Data: Exports the scan data to a user-specified location.
- Measure: Enables measurement tools with adjustable units, snapping, and surface lock.
- Map: Displays the scan location on a map.
- Toggle GPS Path: Displays the path of the device when performing the scan.
- Help: Displays gesture controls.
- vSite AR: Opens the vSite AR application.
- Define GNSS Offsets: Opens a menu to view and change the current offset settings for the GNSS device.
- Delete: Deletes the scan.

User Information
The top left corner of the scan preview displays the following user information:
- User: Displays the logged-in user’s name. Users can log out from here.
- Project: Displays the selected project for the company. Tap to switch projects.
Additional Actions
Rescan: Tap the Rescan button (top right) to return to the scanning screen.
Rename: Tap the scan name (bottom center) to edit the title.
Upload to vSite: Tap the Upload to vSite button below the scan to upload the scan to vSite (Fig. 2).
