Security and Access
vSite is designed to decentralize system management. Permissions define what an administrator is allowed to do for their team.
The following are security options available for use in the vSite Admin Portal:
- Multi-Factor Authentication: Users will be required to set up and use multi-factor authentication. The email you are registered with will receive a 6-digit code which can then be verified in vSite.
- Local-Device Authentication: Specific devices will need to be authenticated when using vSite, by entering a unique passcode specific to your device.
- Shared Asset Access: Determines if project admins have access to company datasources or only project-specific datasources.
- Admin Permissions: Determines level of access to datasources for admins. For Admin Permissions, enabling a specific permission will also enable all permissions to the LEFT of the selected item. For example, when enabling 'Add', the permissions 'Read' and 'Edit' will also be enabled, but Delete will remain disabled.
Regional and Units
- Coordinate Reference System: Allows the user to set a default coordinate system and unit of measurement for their company. The selected CRS and UoM will only be applied to a datasource where both a CRS and UoM have not been set, and there is not a default CRS and UoM set in the Project settings.
- Measurement System: Select the measurement system most suitable for your company's needs (Metric or Imperial).
- Selection Distance: This field sets the maximum rendering distance of objects relative to the user in vSite AR.
- DTM Offset: Here the Digital Terrain Offset can be set in meters.
- Data Collection Minimum Required Accuracy: If the accuracy drops below the assigned value, app users will receive an alert message.
