vSite AR: AR Recalibrating
Recalibration in vSite AR may be necessary to maintain scene accuracy and proper object alignment.
When to Recalibrate
Common scenarios that may require recalibration include:
- Moving to a new job site
- Experiencing drift, where virtual objects appear misaligned with the physical environment
- Minimizing the vSite AR app or switching to another application before returning to vSite AR
Recalibration helps reset key parameters such as your location, direction, elevation, and other environmental attributes that affect AR accuracy. It also fetches the most recent data from your connected data source.
How to Recalibrate
- Open the Main Menu (see Fig. 1).
- Tap the Recalibrate button.
- The app will switch to the Calibration screen.
-
Follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the Calibration article to complete the process.
Tip: Recalibrating periodically, especially after significant movement, helps maintain optimal performance and data accuracy in the AR environment.
