vSite Scan: Scans Menu – vGIS Support Center

The Scans Menu in vSite Scan allows the user to view and manage their scans. There are multiple options for viewing, processing, and uploading scans using the scans menu.

Accessing the Scans Menu

To access the scans menu perform the following steps

Open the vSite Scan app.

Tip: vSite Scan can also be launched by selecting the 3D Scan option from the AR Tools menu or Map Tools menu in the vSite AR app.
Once in the vSite Scan app, locate and tap the image in the bottom left corner.

Tip: The image in the lower left corner is the thumbnail image for the most recent scan.

Scans Menu Features

The following are features in the Scans menu for viewing, managing, processing, and uploading scans.

Scans List

Saved scans are shown in a list in the Scans Menu (Fig. 1). Tapping a scan will open a preview of the scan.

For each scan in the scans list, there are four options for the user.

Delete: Tap the bin icon to delete the scan
Map: Tapping the map button will show the scan
Process: Tapping the process button will process the scan
Upload: Tapping the upload button will upload the scan to your selected vSite project

Scan Selection

Tap the Select button in the top left corner of the Scans Menu to enable scan selection. This feature allows the user to select multiple scans (Fig. 2), where actions can be applied to all selected scans at once. The following are actions that can be applied to the scan selection:

Delete: The delete option (bottom left corner) will delete all selected scans
Process: The process option (bottom right corner) will process all selected scans
Upload: The upload option (bottom right corner) will upload all selected scans to vSite

Scans Map

Tapping the globe icon in the bottom right corner will open the Scans Map. The scans map displays the location of stored scans on a world map. Tapping the scan on the map will open the thumbnail preview with the option to open the full scan.
