vSite AR: Field Reports
Overview
The Field Reports feature in vSite AR enables users to quickly report discrepancies between GIS/BIM data and real-world site conditions. Reports can include photos, short videos, text, or voice notes, and are sent to company administrators in real-time for immediate action.
How To
Access Field Reports
- Open AR View in the vSite AR app.
- Tap the Tools button.
- Select Field Report (Fig. 1).

Capture a Field Report
- The reporting interface will open with your device’s camera view of the augmented reality environment (Fig. 2).
- From this screen, you can:
- Take a photo
- Close the report sequence without saving
- Use the Action Bar at the bottom-center to:
- Open or hide layers
- Add text notes
- Add voice notes
- The three most recent field report thumbnails will appear above the action bar for quick reference.

Finalizing and Submitting
After capturing your image or video, you have the option to:
- Link the report to an AR object
- Add a voice note or type a comment
When finished, tap Submit to send the report to your company administrator(s).
Supplementary Material
- Field Reports are submitted in real-time to ensure quick action on-site issues.
- For best results, ensure you have a stable internet connection when submitting.
- Submitted reports are logged and can be reviewed through the Admin Portal for tracking and follow-up.
